This object study focuses on a plastic straw and how it can be related to a broader issue. From the original straw, I created an emoji, a grid of a formal quality studies, an animation and a series of posters. The following series of posters combines the imagery of the straw and the phrase "plenty of fish in the sea" (play on the irony of there being a fish on the plastic straw) to bring awareness to the effects of plastic pollution on marine life.
